When will MJF be satisfied?

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala held a meeting with Upendra Yadav, president of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) in Baluwatar on Friday morning and promised to fulfill their demands.

The meeting has come in the wake of warnings by Yadav of re-launching Terai agitation from November 21. Yadav has said that the cancellation of Constituent Assembly election and the non-implementation of pact signed by the government and the MJF were compelling him to resume agitation.

The MJF has now been demanding that the pact signed in August should be implemented fully.

It was the MJF led by Yadav, which had spearheaded last year's Madhesi agitation, which subsided only after the government agreed to change the constitution to increase seats for Madhes region, ensure proportional representation of Madhesi community in all organs of the sate and so on.
