UML, a “third gender” party: Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai

The Maoists party’s second man in command, Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai has said that the UML might be swept away during the upcoming CA poll.

Dr. Bhattarai made these remarks yesterday, March 13, 08, in Biratnagar while addressing a mass meet of the Maoists’ selected candidates from the KOCHILA state for the CA poll.

A pretty annoyed Dr. Bhattarai said that the UML was not even a party of the communists.

“In my opinion, the UML is a casteless third gender party”, is how Dr. Bhattarai described the UML.

According to Dr. Bhattarai, the UML by not forging an election alliance with the Maoists is sure to face debacle at the poll.

“We just wanted to forge an alliance with the UML in order to save the latter from the imminent defeat of the UML ”, Bhattarai told his audience.

On the occasion, Dr. Bhattarai also defended the activities of the Young Communist League cadres.

“Some frustrated brains and political leaders are hell bent on maligning the prestige of the Maoists party and those of the cadres of the YCL”, Bhattarai added.

Some reactionary forces were still hatching conspiracies to foil the CA poll, so said Dr. Bhattarai.

It's so weird and strange. Of course UML would be wiped out if the elections are rigged the way Maoists are trying to do. They are beating candidates, attacking poll activities even firing. The acts of intimidations, abductions and attack shows Maoists mentality and even they are directly questioning people's power saying if they loose they would go back to war. Such direct threat from senior members have seriously put doubt on their intentions of polls.

And talking like this is stupid. Comrade, first see your own face in mirror. You are threatened that you might even be wiped out, so putting such intimidating words.
