Nepal's landmark election have wiped out royalists. They haven't been able to stand in toll. Instead CPN Maoists have been sweaping everywhere.

Moaists are heading for landslide victory and if this trend continues, Moaists will surely grab absolute majority.

The Constituent Assembly Election, slated for April 10, is just about 10 days away.

The political environment has not improved dramatically, actually campaign violence is on the rise. Political diatribe, accusations and counter-accusations, particularly between the Maoists and UML (Communist Party of Nepal-- United Marxist-Lenist) and to some extent Nepali Congress (NC) have come to dominate the daily headlines. Still, the political mood is fixed on elections. Now it looks likely that the elections will be held, after two postponements in the past.

Two people have been killed and at least one more injured after a mosque was bombed in Nepal's second biggest city, Biratnagar.

Reports say two men on a motorcycle hurled four bombs at the Choti mosque during evening prayers on Saturday.

Three of the devices exploded, and two of the people who were seriously injured died on their way to hospital.

A shadowy Hindu extremist group - the Nepal Defence Army - said in a statement it carried out the attack.
